A friend of mine that is taking the Learning Spanish Like Crazy lessons with me recommended the Easy Spanish Phrase Book Over 770 Basic Phrases for Everyday Use. It's an excellent resource for learning new Spanish words and phrases. I have a rather unusual method of using Easy Spanish Phrase Book Over 770 Basic Phrases for Everyday Use.
I keep mine in the bathroom. Instead of reading a magazine and smoking a cigarette in the bathroom, I read the Easy Spanish Phrase Book or I listen to a CD from Learning Spanish Like Crazy. The book is only 60 something pages, so even if I only do a couple of pages a day, I will finish it in a month.
The only thing that I don't like about the Easy Spanish Phrase Book is that it attempts to give written pronunciations. I think any Spanish book that attempts this is really doing the student a disservice because, unlike in English, Spanish pronunciation never changes.
